Back in the Saddle Again (and yet Again!)

So here I am, yet again, trying to start up my blog and eek my way out of the writer's block that's been plaguing me for the past couple of years. That's right, I said YEARS!  I'm not sure what happened to me, quite honestly.  I used to write every single day.  Sometimes I wrote several pieces in a single day.  Then it all stopped.  I believe the timing may have correlated with my father's stroke in 2011.  I'm not completely sure.  

Since this is a new year and since 2014 was very good to me I hoped to be able to keep it going and get back to my old opinionated, semi-creative self.

And here we go.....
